There are often many individuals who influence a project such as funding bodies, ethics boards, advisors or elders. Partners and influencers can be disappointed if they perceive that their feedback was not taken into account at different stages. Who had influence over your project? What did they expect in terms of decision making – such as editorial control or input at each stage of the project? How did you manage these expectations and these relationships? How did you explain the limits of their role? When did you seek consultation about your process? Did your consultation practice change over time? Were there conflicts you had to resolve? How might you negotiate issues differently in a future project?
